The artist

Helen is an award winning artist, with a passion for the natural world. Specialising in mural painting, including trompe l'oeil and faux finishes, she has completed many private commissions around the UK.

Helen set up Wildmurals in 2005. Before her success as a freelance artist and designer, Helen gained many awards for the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT)  as their Head of Interpretation, responsible for the master interpretation planning, project management, exhibit design and construction at all of their 9 centres, including the acclaimed London Wetland Centre, a multi million pound visitor attraction and nature reserve in the heart of London.

Since 2005 she has worked independantly with many clients in the environmental sector.

A perfect partnership

Helen often works together with her husband Lloyd (Lloyd Turner Ltd). Together, Helen's creative skills and Lloyd's engineering and construction skills make a unique combination and mean that they can offer a very broad range of services completely in-house.

Helen has designed a number of bespoke shelters as part of her work with Lloyd Turner Ltd including "The Reed Hide" for the Cotswold Water Park Society, winning the Inourelement competition for an artist inspired bird hide. This has subsequently won a  BTO award. Helen has also designed a number of sustainable shelters and features for the Earth Trust, including "Lily Pod", an enducational shelter and "Leaf Hide", a small low budget bird watching shelter.
